Who wore what to the MTV Video Music Awards

The MTV Video Awards is known as the place to let your imagination run wild. Unlike the other red carpet events, here the stars are more daring, but daring has clear boundaries.

 Miley Cyrus

Miley went vintage in this Dolce & Gabbana look. She styled her colorfully embellished long sleeve black crop top and matching pants combination with a twisted hairdo as well as black Giuseppe Zanotti platform sandals.

 Rita Ora
Rita shined on the red carpet courtesy of this show-stopping Alexandre Vauthier Fall 2013 Couture gown with crystal embroidered long sleeve top and feathered light blue skirt. She capped off the look with a pair of black and gold sandals.

Taylor Swift

Taylor’s form-fitting Hervé Léger by Max Azria gown included extensive embellishments and a structured neckline. She finished off her look with jewels by both Lorraine Schwartz and Ofira as well as Prada sandals.

Katy Perry

The singer definitely took a walk on the wild side in this leopard print Emanuel Ungaro Fall 2013 dress with flashy gold embellishments. Anita Ko jewelry, black and gold Celine ankle strap sandals along with a removable “Roar” grill polished off Katy's look.

Selena Gomez

Atelier Versace’s Fall 2013 collection was the source of Selena’s remarkably revealing studded bustier gown. The fashion house also supplied her shoes, while those emerald earrings came from Lorraine Schwartz.

Holland Roden

The Teen Wolf actress brought some glamour to Brooklyn with this unique Naeem Khan. Holland's Resort 2014 embellished gown layered over slim pants was styled with a ring by H.Stern and Rupert Sanderson Hydra nude satin pumps.

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga may have opted for shock value when it came to her performance, but the singer wore a relatively subdued look on the red carpet. Her Prabal Gurung satin gown had a tulle train with distinctive rosette appliqués.

Shailene Woodley

Sporting her freshly chopped locks, Shailene arrived in an Emilio Pucci Resort 2014 black sleeveless crop top and printed skirt. She rounded out the look with a Chad Ypon bracelet and black Casadei pumps.

Rihanna

Rihanna appeared to just be there to take in the performances as she skipped the red carpet and opted for more casual attire. The singer partnered a MC Lyte shirt with cuffed jeans from her own Rihanna for River Island line, diamond jewelry and black sandals.

Jennifer Hudson

Jennifer combined two pieces from the Christian Dior Fall 2013 offering. Her houndstooth strapless top and black asymmetrical skirt were complemented by Lorraine Schwartz jewels along with Christian Louboutin pumps.

Ariana Grande

Ariana opted for a somewhat out-of-place printed dress by Kenley Collins. She concluded the sweet look with white pumps.

Ciara
It was an elegant Givenchy Couture creation for Ciara at the over-the-top awards. Her Fall 2010 semi-sheer gown featured crystal embroidered details and a feathered hemline.

Crystal Reed

Crystal was red hot in a strapless ZAC Zac Posen Resort 2014 gown with peplum accent. Neil Lane gems, a coordinating animal print clutch by Valentino and Oscar Tiye pumps all served as accessories.

Naya Rivera

Naya vamped it up in Brooklyn outfitted in this sleek black vintage Paco Rabanne with cut-out details. Marina B rings polished off the Glee star’s covered-up look.

Allison Williams

Allison selected a romantic embellished ivory Valentino Fall 2013 lace dress with delicate embroidery. Paige Novick jewels and black Christian Louboutin heels rounded out the look.

So, who do you think are the best and worst dressed?

Teen Choice Awards 2013

Bold prints and bright colors ruled the blue carpet at the Teen Choice Awards out in Universal City. Resort 2014 looks were the most popular with celebs embracing designs from big name fashion houses along with innovative up-and-coming brands. Surfboards were handed out in several “choice” categories and Miley Cyrus somehow managed to pick up the Candie’s Fashion Trendsetter Award. The ceremony also marked Lea Michele’s first public appearance since the death of Cory Monteith. Here’s a recap of the more noteworthy fashions from this year’s awards.

Good dressers:
Lily Collins

Lily added a bit of drama to the event thanks to this Fausto Puglisi Resort 2014 palm-printed high-low skirt paired with a black Houghton Resort 2014 top. Graziela Gems and EF Collection jewels along with Brian Atwood Zenith platform pumps all served as accessories.

Selena Gomez

Cushnie et Ochs was the source of Selena’s hunter green Fall 2013 dress with cut-out accents. Neil Lane jewelry and Nicholas Kirkwood lace pumps rounded out the look.

Kerry Washington

Kerry’s playful pale pink embellished dress comes from Stella McCartney’s recent Resort 2014 offering. Christian Louboutin Pigalle Strass pumps capped off the look.

Lucy Hale

Lucy hosted the awards alongside Glee’s Darren Criss and walked the blue carpet in this modified Houghton Pre-Spring 2014 ensemble. Sophie Hughes and Topshop gems, a white Kotur clutch as well as Stuart Weitzman Nudist sandals concluded the look.

Crystal Reed

Crystal selected a graphic printed CH Carolina Herrera Fall 2013 top and matching pants for the awards. She accessorized with Neil Lane gems, a white clutch and L.K.Bennett heels.

The swinging corner:
Bella Thorne

Bella also opted for a look from the Fausto Puglisi Resort 2014 offering. Her palm-printed top and skirt were accented by XIV Karats gems along with a pair of Candie’s shoes.

Nina Dobrev

It was a printed J. Mendel Pre-Fall 2013 outfit for Nina at the awards. Her plunging top and coordinating trousers were styled with Martin Katz earrings, an orange Devi Kroell clutch as well as green Dolce & Gabbana ankle wrap sandals.

Bad dressers:
Miley Cyrus

Saint Laurent’s rather revealing semi-sheer Fall 2013 leather outfit was Miley’s edgy choice for the ceremony. White platform pumps capped off the look.

Hailee Steinfeld

Hailee was hard to miss at the awards decked out in this navy and red House of Holland Resort 2014 dress with dynamic starburst pattern. She finished off the look with vibrant Oscar Tiye Malikah ankle strap sandals.

Naya Rivera

Naya showed off her abs once again in this leather look by Alice + Olivia. Jimmy Choo provided both that clutch and those purple Anouk pumps, while her jewelry came from Le Vian.

Chloë Grace Moretz

This Christopher Kane off-the-shoulder Resort 2014 dress with vivid inserts was Chloë’s pick for the big night. Jimmy Choo Jada black ankle strap sandals completed the look.

Ashley Benson

There was a lot going on with Ashley’s ensemble from that short black Bec & Bridge top to her Giorgio Armani embellished peplum-accented purple skirt. She completed the busy look with Neil Lane jewels and coral Rachel Roy pumps.

Trend alert- tulip skirts

When choosing a skirt this summer, be sure you take time to stop
and smell the tulips. The trend for draped wrap skirts is blossoming among celebrity influencers, and from the waist down almost evokes ancient Greek styling. Flattering for all body types, the look is absolutely artful without sacrificing ease.

One of the beautiful things in fashion is the process which inspiration goes trough from it's first appearance to it's expiration. Almost every trend will survive more than one season and sometimes even years ahead, and from collection to collection will deepen and evolve until he'll leave us.
This trend began Last winter and the first to relate to this net and folding element was Issey Miyake, two years ago in a special collection which refferd to the two-dimensional and three-dimensional element in a garment.

On the runway >> The tulip skirts which characterize by angular and asymmetric elements were seen in many fashion shows such as Kenzo, Prada, Proenza Schouler, Emporio Armani, Fragamo and more.

Celebs and bloggers implement >> The bloggers may not be as famous as celebrities but tend to precede them and even outshine them in their street interpretations to trends and they have embraced this trend. The celebs who have already embraced this trend are Solange Knowles, Emma Roberts, Zoe Saldana and more.

Hollywood's dress list: the floral prints are back

good dressers:

Diane Kruger, Mary Katantzuo dress
Fox All- Star party

There are outfits that seems to have been created for some women. Such is the dress worn by Diane Kruger - not because it is not flattering to anyone else, but because it seems that it was built just for her; the style, the colors, the way in which it falls on the body. Every piece of fabric tells a whole story and Kruger knew to balance the accessories with pearl white colored clutch and black sandals.

Bella Thorne, Blumarine dress
''Planes'' premiere

This 15 years old girl is simply stunning. The deep corals and cool colors of the short-sleeved dress were complimented by her choice of bright-green Bionda Castana ‘Consuelo’ ankle-strap pumps, her curls looked great with a braided piece on top and I got high hopes from this sweet girl.

Crysta Reed, Carolina Herrera dress
Young Hollywood Awards

Crystal looked amazing in this Carolina Herrera dress. The print is lovely, the structure of the dress is really elegant and chic, plus right now tulip skirts are totally in and the nude heels look great with the light colors of the dress.

Kerry Washington, Giambattista Valli dress
Disney/ABC party

Kerry looked elegant and sophisticated in this printed white dress, the metallic clutch and heels look good with the dress and the overall look is simple yet classy. Plus, the hair style is really hot.

Bad dressers:

Holland Roden, Ted Baker printed top and matching pants
Young Hollywood Awards

Usually I like what Holland wears to red carpet events but this time she really missed it. The print is nice but there is too much of him in this outfit; it could have lookd nice if she only wore the pants (in a smaller size) with a different top.

Lily Collins
Seventeen magazine cover party

The outfit that Lily chose is not flattering, at all!! The crop top makes her look flat, the leather skirt looks cheap (kinda like a trash bag) and the brown animal printed heels don't help.

Teri Hatcher, Basil Soda dress
''Planes'' premiere

For some reason Teri chose to wear this hideous dress to the ''planes'' premiere and it clearly was a mistake. This white dress makes her look old with the odd print and the length and the shoes are way too heavy for this dress.

Emily VanCamp,
Disney/ABC party

First of all, the shape of the dress is a bit boring. The color of the dress, grey-brown doesen't flatter Emily's skin tone, the light pink heels don't look good with the color of the dress but I do like her white nail polish, just not with this outfit.
